The Benefit's of Grounding

Grounding plays a vital role in mental health and wellbeing by addressing various psychological challenges and providing practical tools for emotional regulation. Beginning a group session or one to one interaction with grounding is important for the following reasons:

Students in Turas can attend up to six sessions per day, including breaks involving interactions with other groups. These interactions may influence energy levels, group dynamics, and potentially contribute to a sense of haste. Initiating a grounding session at the beginning of a session can assist students in becoming present in a new space.

Moreover for groups that include individuals with a history of trauma, beginning with grounding aligns with trauma-informed care principles. It establishes a safe and predictable environment, minimising potential triggers.
